Keriann & Brian: Wedding to Remember

Keriann & Brian's wedding goes down in the history books as one heck of an event.  Not only was it one of the longest weddings I have shot (12 hours), but it was also a lot of fun.  It started over at Keriann's house with hair and makeup.  The girls were singing and dancing to New Kids on the Block and good ole 80s music.  Dad was playing Xbox on-line and mom was soaking in the moments.  Once we got to Good Shepard Catholic Church, everything flowed perfectly.  We then headed over to Blue Jacket Park located in Baldwin Park to shoot the bridal party.  It was really hot... too hot to do all that I wanted as the bridal party was getting overheated!  We got some great photos anyway and then headed over to the reception at Asociación Borinqueña de Florida Central (That place is beautiful, stunning really).  The party continued all night long...

Anyway, here are some of my favorites...

I love this job, by Ryan Brenizer

Some direct quotes from his post that hit home for me...

"But I really love documenting weddings. Spending so many days with people at one of the happiest, craziest days of their lives? Seeing this bliss-plus-stress bring out everyone's personality to the umpteenth degree? It's hard not to spend much of my time eagerly awaiting going to work.

I love the parts of the day that many people would find too stressful to cope with. You start each day with zero pictures. Zero pictures is heartbreak, bitter recriminations, and a failure of duty. Getting from there to the end of the night, capturing such an important day in a thorough, interesting, and beautiful way? It takes everything you have, all day. I love that."

"Couples ask me a lot, almost sheepishly, "Is it OK if we just want some pictures with groups of family together? It doesn't have to be artsy or anything …" It's more than OK -- I very strongly encourage it. I know lots of photographers see this part of the day as "something to get through," but this is important stuff. Family members who haven't seen each other in years? Important. Getting as many guests as possible, people who you wanted to share your day with you (and paid not-inconsiderable sums for the privilege)? Important."

Band Photography - Forever From Now

You can check out Forever From Now on Facebook or MySpace and you really should!!  Great band, good sound and an amazingly humble group.  We had a great time shooting in Downtown Orlando looking for **that** trademark look without it looking like it had been done so many times before.  We found some great spots that I will definately use again in the future.

Check out some of my favorites...
