Lindsey and Jacob

About a month ago, I shot a very small wedding that I was honored to be a part of.  Every wedding I shoot is completely different and this one was not exception.  Its really a part of the job that I like...  Anyway, Lindsey booked me a while back, site unseen.  We never met; just a phone call, a fax and an invoice and boom there I was.  Since we didnt even have an engagement shoot this was the very first time that I was meeting the bride and groom.  In the end, I had a great time and was glad to be a part of family and friends.

Lake Nona Wedding: Anthony & Leilani

When I shot Anthony and Leilani's engagement photos, we all had a blast.  I knew that the wedding was going to be just as fun.  We had great weather (if a bit cool & breezy) and a great location.  I hope everyone enjoys some of my favorites....

This is one of my favorite images of all time....



I got to see and hear something no one else did... them saying the steps to the dance to each other. It was so cute...

And, I tried to catch a photo of her picking it out.... one of the bridesmaids didnt like that!! It was all rated, G, I promise.



The grooms son must of come up to me fifteen times with this mask on and asked for a picture. I had a great time with each shot.

Google Never Forgets

I post things from Seth Godwin's blog here from time to time because it resonates with me SO MUCH. Seth is arguably the Nation's best Marketer. He has written tons of books, and even had a handful of best sellers. The funny thing about this blog, is that a lot of what he says works for business but it also will apply to your personal life. A friend advertised on Craigslist for a housekeeper.

Three interesting resumes came to the top. She googled each person's name.

The first search turned up a MySpace page. There was a picture of the applicant, drinking beer from a funnel. Under hobbies, the first entry was, "binge drinking."

The second search turned up a personal blog (a good one, actually). The most recent entry said something like, "I am applying for some menial jobs that are below me, and I'm annoyed by it. I'll certainly quit the minute I sell a few paintings."

And the third? There were only six matches, and the sixth was from the local police department, indicating that the applicant had been arrested for shoplifting two years earlier.

Three for three.

Google never forgets.

Of course, you don't have to be a drunk, a thief or a bitter failure for this to backfire. Everything you do now ends up in your permanent record. The best plan is to overload Google with a long tail of good stuff and to always act as if you're on Candid Camera, because you are."
